About Us

My name is Vince Hlavinka; I am the owner and builder of Vincent Custom Guitars. I come from a background of Engineering and Manufacturing as well as 2D and 3D design. During college I discovered my love for woodworking and the guitar. The next logical progression was to begin experimenting with building my own electric guitar. I quickly learned that there are a lot more options available than the major manufacturers produce. I also learned that mass production guitars come with compromises. They are made in a short amount of time and at reasonable costs, but also sacrifice in quality many times, and rely on their name and reputation to carry them forward.

After building several guitars and developing my skills and knowledge I realized that I can produce guitars at a better quality than is currently available from most store models, and at a significantly lower cost than a large name brand custom shop guitar; which many times still places limits on what you can order. It was at this point that I decided my skills would be better used to help create that one of a kind, dream guitar.
